Taxonomy
Monacanthites monoceros was named by Tozer (1965). Its type specimen is GSC 18838 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 56194, Chowade River (UCR), which is in a Spathian marine siliciclastic in the Toad Formation of Canada.
