Virgellia simbaiana
Taxonomy
Gervillia (Gervillia) simbaiana was named by Skwarko (1967). Its type specimen is CPC 5057, a valve (left valve), and it is a mold. Its type locality is H200, 4.5 miles north-east of Tabibuga, which is in a Carnian marine siliciclastic in the Jimi Formation of Papua New Guinea.
It was recombined as Virgellia simbaiana by Muster (1995).
