Neocavia depressidens
Taxonomy
Neocavia depressidens was named by Parodi and Kraglievich (1948). Its type specimen is MLP 46-V-13-53, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Acantilado de Monte Hermoso, which is in a Montehermosan terrestrial sandstone in the Monte Hermoso Formation of Argentina.
