Elonichthys germari
Taxonomy
Elonichthys germari was named by Giebel (1848). Its type specimen is GH-GIE1849.2, a partial skeleton (Skeleton missing most of skull), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wettin, which is in a Stephanian C terrestrial shale in the Siebigerode Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Elonichthys.
