Kyrgyzsaurus bukhanchenkoi

Taxonomy
Kyrgyzsaurus bukhanchenkoi was named by Alifanov and Kurochkin (2011). Its type specimen is PIN 2584/12, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Madygen, site 14, which is in a Ladinian/Carnian lacustrine shale in the Madygen Formation of Kyrgyzstan. It is the type species of Kyrgyzsaurus.
