Taxonomy
Sardinius crassapinna was named by Davis (1887). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sahil Alma (Lewis collection), which is in a Santonian carbonate lime mudstone in Lebanon.
It was recombined as Histiothrissa crassapinna by Woodward (1901).
