Aenigmys diamantensis
Taxonomy
Aenigmys diamantensis was named by Vucetich et al. (2005). Its type specimen is CICyTTP-PV-M-1-17, a set of teeth (isolated left lower molar (m3?)), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Left bank of La Ensenada Creek, which is in a Pleistocene terrestrial siltstone in the Hernandarias Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Aenigmys.
