Rhynchopterus obesus

Taxonomy
Rhynchopterus obesus was named by Gabb (1864). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rattlesnake Point, near Humboldt City, which is in an Illyrian carbonate limestone in Nevada.

It was recombined as Pteria obesus by Silberling and Nichols (1982).
