Taxonomy
Soplaogonomegops unzuei was named by Pérez-de la Fuente et al. (2013). Its type specimen is CES-362 and is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is El Soplao amber, which is in an Albian terrestrial amber in the Las Penosas Formation of Spain.
