Taxonomy
Lobaticorona floriditabella was named by Johns (1997). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is GSC 105286, a dermal scale, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Aylard Creek East, Laird formation, ACE-1, which is in a Ladinian marine horizon in the Laird Formation of Canada.
