Taxonomy
Shaleriella was named by Harper and Boucot (1978). It is not extant. Its type is Shaleriella delicata.

It was reranked as Shaleria (Shaleriella) by Musteikis and Cocks (2004) and Rubel (2011).

It was assigned to Shaleriidae by Williams et al. (2000); to Strophomenida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Shaleria by Musteikis and Cocks (2004) and Rubel (2011).
