E. D. Gill 1951 | Multicostellate, rectimarginate, pentamerid brachiopods, in which both valves are of more or less equal convexity; there is an angular deflection of the lateral margins of the dorsal valve, and often also of those of the ventral valve. The septal plates of the dorsal valve diverge slightly, then converge, and laterally to them thick callists develop with age. In the ventral valve a small spondylium is present and a median septum one quarter to one half of the valve in length. In adult shells, small tooth-like processes develop on the spondylial plates. |
