Argopecten evermanni

Taxonomy
Pecten (Plagioctenium) evermanni was named by Jordan and Hertlein (1926). Its type specimen is CAS 2108, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is C.A.S. Loc. 944, Turtle Bay, which is in a Pliocene marine sandstone in Mexico.

It was recombined as Pecten (Aequipecten) evermanni by Grant and IV and Gale (1931); it was recombined as Argopecten evermanni by Moore (1984).
