Protocanites hollardi
Taxonomy
Protocanites hollardi was named by Korn et al. (2002). Its type specimen is GPIT 1876-1, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ouzina, Taouz, Oued Znaigui Formation, Tafilalt, which is in a Tournaisian basinal (siliciclastic) mudstone in Morocco.
