Taxonomy
Goniatites fecundus was named by Barrande (1865). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chotec (uppermost Zlichov Limestone), which is in an Emsian carbonate limestone in the Zlichov Formation of Czechia.
It was recombined as Mimagoniatites fecundus by Chlupac and Turek (1983), Göddertz (1987), Korn and Klug (2002).
