Joannites salteri

Taxonomy
Arcestes salteri was named by von Mojsisovics (1875). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Röthelstein, lower layer with Arcestes ellipticus, which is in a Julian carbonate limestone/limestone in the Halstatt Formation of Austria.

It was recombined as Joannites salteri by von Mojsisovics (1902), Arthaber (1915).
