Saurichthys majiashanensis
Taxonomy
Saurichthys majiashanensis was named by Tintori et al. (2014). Its type specimen is AGM I-2, a skeleton (almost complete specimen lacking most of the skull and the posterior tip of the caudal fin), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is South Majiashan quarry (Nanlinghu Fm), which is in a Spathian basinal (siliciclastic) marl in the Nanlinghu Formation of China.
