Taxonomy
Ringsteadia anglica was named by Salfeld (1917). Its type specimen is BGS GSM25502 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Westbury (Westbury Ironstone, BGS collection), which is in an Oxfordian carbonate limestone in the Ampthill Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
