Taxonomy
Amoeboceras (Amoebites) postacanthophorum was named by Mesezhnikov (1984). Its type specimen is VNIGRI 6409/633, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mauryn'ya River, eastern slope of Prepolar Urals, which is in a Kimmeridgian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
