Taxonomy
Plectambonites schmidti percedens was named by Holtedahl (1916) [= 1928 ? Sowerbyella rhombica var. conspicua (REED)- JONES pp. 508-509. Lectotype designated by Spjeldnæs (1957).]. Its type specimen is PMO L0132 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Eoplectodonta percedens by Spjeldnaes (1957).
