Taxonomy
Myophoria elongata was named by Philippi (1898). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is AMNH B7979, Cottonwood Pass, which is in a Spathian shallow subtidal limestone in the Moenkopi Formation of Nevada.
It was recombined as Neoschizodus elongatus by Hofmann et al. (2015).
