Taxonomy
Anatomites orientalis was named by Liang (1977). Its type specimen is NIGP 24147 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is YHW77, Shihuaping, Jianchuan County, which is in a Tuvalian marine horizon in the Baijizu Formation of China.
