Taxonomy
Mimagoniatites kolymensis was named by Bogoslovsky (1969). Its type specimen is PIN 2444/10, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Taskan River, above Ozhidaniya creek, which is in an Emsian carbonate limestone in the Vechernin Formation of the Russian Federation.
