Taxonomy
Encrinurus rotundus was named by Männil (1977). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Laeva Borehole, which is in a Juuru marine horizon in the Tamsalu Formation of Estonia.
It was recombined as Nucleurus rotundus by Edgecombe and Chatterton (1990); it was recombined as Elsarella rotunda by Edgecombe and Ramsköld (1996).
