Archaeoscyphia undulata was named by Rigby and Desrochers (1995). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mingan Fm., basal Grand Pointe Mbr. Loc. 3,7, which is in a Chazyan open shallow subtidal wackestone/grainstone in the Mingan Formation of Canada.
