Eoplectodonta (Eoplectodonta) abigailae was named by Cocks (2010) [= 1963 Eoplectodonta cf. rhombica (M’Coy) Williams, p. 448, pl. 12, figs 9–14, 18–19. = 1979a Eoplectodonta cf. rhombica (M’Coy); Hurst, p. 278, figs 404–406, 409–411.]. Its type specimen is BC 58652, a valve (ventral valve internal mou), and it is a 3D body fossil.

L. R. Cocks 2010Relatively small, very concavo-convex in profile, and very transverse Eoplectodonta with incurved ventral umbo. Bema more obviously bilobed than most Eoplectodonta species, with the inner side septa merging with the edges of the bema lobes.
