Eoplectodonta (Eoplectodonta) abigailae was named by Cocks (2010) [= 1963 Eoplectodonta cf. rhombica (M’Coy) Williams, p. 448, pl. 12, figs 9–14, 18–19.
= 1979a Eoplectodonta cf. rhombica (M’Coy); Hurst, p. 278, figs 404–406, 409–411.]. Its type specimen is BC 58652, a valve (ventral valve internal mou), and it is a 3D body fossil.
