Clark et al. 2016 | Body shape cylindrical to slightly applanated, carapace about half the length of the body or slightly more, anterolateral spines on carapace, V-shaped cervical groove that connects anteriorly to the rostral groove and posteriorly is split by the medial carina; paired post-orbital ridges; longitudinal rugose carinae, or ridges, in the branchial region of the carapace; second lateral carina less distinct and in some examples fades across the branchial region; the anterior portion of the first lateral carina forms a ridge along the cervical groove; three carinae on the anterior portion of the first pleomere; first five pleonal tergites equal in length, with the sixth nearly twice the length of the others; telson as broad as long with central carina and lateral processes. |
