Taxonomy
Microsulcatoceras texanum was named by Kennedy and Cobban (1990). Its type specimen is USNM 423739, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rogers Farm, stream southwest of Britton, which is in a Cenomanian marine horizon in the Britton Formation of Texas.
