Eophis underwoodi
Taxonomy
Eophis underwoodi was named by Caldwell et al. (2015). Its type specimen is NHMUK R12355, NHMUK R12354, NHMUK R12370 (syntypes), a partial skull (symphyseal portion of right dentary, midsection right dentary, posterior portion right dentary respectively), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kirtlington 3p (Mammal Bed), which is in a Bathonian mire/swamp marl in the Forest Marble Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Eophis.
