Taxonomy
Branchierpeton reinholdi was named by Werneburg (1988). It is not extant. Its type specimen is FG 321/10/28, a skeleton. Its type locality is Tabarz, which is in an Asselian terrestrial horizon in the Goldlauter Formation of Germany.
