Taxonomy
Micromelerpeton boyi was named by Heyler (1994). It is not extant. Its type specimen is MNHN AUT 611, a skeleton. Its type locality is Saone et Laoire (Autun Formation), which is in an Autunian terrestrial horizon in the Autun Formation of France.
