Taxonomy
Rhaeboceras burkholderi was named by Cobban (1987). Its type specimen is USNM 413047, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS Mesozoic D5663, east of Mosby, which is in a Campanian marine shale in the Bearpaw Shale Formation of Montana.
