Coluber acuminatus

Taxonomy
Zamenis acuminatus was named by Cope (1899). Its type specimen is Lost., a partial skeleton (Consists of fractured skull and 25 ant. thoracic vertebrae), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Port Kennedy Cave, which is in an Irvingtonian cave horizon in Pennsylvania.

It was recombined as Bascanion acuminatus by Hay (1902); it was recombined as Coluber acuminatus by Hay (1930), Gilmore (1938); it was synonymized subjectively with Coluber constrictor by Rage (1984).
