Cricotus crassidisca was named by Cope (1884). It is not extant. Its type specimen is AMNH 4550 and 4550a, a partial skeleton.

It was recombined as Archeria crassidisca by Case (1915).

Synonyms
  • Archeria robinsoni was named by Case (1915). It is not extant. Its type locality is Briar Creek, which is in an Artinskian terrestrial claystone/sandstone in the Admiral Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Archeria.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Archeria crassidisca by Panchen (1970).
