Levizygopleura inornata
Taxonomy
Pseudozygopleura (Pseudozygopleura) inornata was named by Knight (1930) [Pseudozygopleura (Pseudozygopleura) inornata Knight 1930]. Its type specimen is YPM 12976, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is SL-1. Headwaters of Feefee Creek, north of Olive St. & west of Lindberg Blvd., 1.5 km northwest of Stratmann (Olivette), which is in a Moscovian offshore shale in the Appanoose Formation of Missouri.
It was synonymized subjectively with Pseudozygopleura (Pseudozygopleura) semicostata by Nützel (1998); it was synonymized subjectively with Pseudozygopleura semicostata by Kues and Batten (2001); it was recombined as Levizygopleura inornata by Bandel (2002).
