| R. B. Zhan et al. 2014 | Sericoidea with tiny shell, dense multicostellae, sporadic tubercles in shell anterior part of both valves, well-developed dorsal median septum mainly in shell anterior half.Description: Shell normally less than 2 mm long or wide, elongated semicircular to subcircular in outline, with aver-age length/width ratio of 0.78 and 0.8 for ventral and dorsalvalves respectively, widest along hinge line or slightly in frontof it, gently plano-convex in lateral profile, with dorsal valve nearly flat or slightly concave in its central part and ventral valve deepest in umbonal area; cardinal extremities rounded or rectangular;lateral margin evenly curved, anterior commissure rectimarginate. Interareas of both valves linear, around 0.1 mmin height, and about 6–7 percent of shell length; delthyrium small, covered by arched deltidial plates; notothyrium narrow, small, no apparent chilidium. Ornament of parvicostellae at least of three different sizes, increasing forward mainly by insertions; first order costellae starting from umbo, second order at one-quarter or one-third of shell length, and third order originating in area two-thirds or three-quarters of shell length, sizes also decreasing accordingly; about 5–8 costellae per 0.5 mm alongshell anterior margin. Concentric fila evenly spaced on entireshell surface, about 5–7 per 0.2 mm. |
