It was recombined as Bregmaceros albyi by Arambourg (1925), Arambourg (1927), Pedley (1978), Bedini et al. (1986), Gaudant et al. (1996), Gaudant et al. (2005), Gaudant et al. (2006), Schwarzhans (2013), Gaudant and Courme (2014), Argyriou (2022).
