Brontopodus pentadactylus
Taxonomy
Brontopodus pentadactylus was named by Kim and Lockley (2012). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is KNUE-0912001, a footprint, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Gyeongnam Science High School tracksite, which is in an Aptian/Albian terrestrial sandstone in the Haman Formation of South Korea.

Lockley 2012 | Wide-gauged sauropod trackway composed of manus with three to five blunt digit impressions is rotated outwards from the midline of trackway and pes with five digit impressions also rotated outward relative to direction of travel. Pes digit traces I–III indicate outwardly rotated claws. Manus is wider than long and pes is longer than wide. The manus-pes area ratio is about 1:2. |
