Stelckaspis perplexa
Taxonomy
Dionide perplexa was named by Billings (1866). Its type specimen is GSC 2559, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is AN12, which is in a Telychian open shallow subtidal shale/limestone in the Jupiter Formation of Canada.
It was recombined as Proetus perplexus by Twenhofel (1928); it was recombined as Stelckaspis perplexa by Chatterton and Ludvigsen (2004).
