Taxonomy
Scabriscutellum hammadi was named by Chatterton et al. (2006). Its type specimen is UA 13412, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zguilma section, Timrhanrhart Fm, Lower Bed, ZGEE1 , which is in an Emsian shallow subtidal mudstone in the Timrhanrhart Formation of Morocco.
