Taxonomy
Eoplectodonta (Eoplectodonta) boucoti was named by Rong et al. (2013). Its type specimen is NIGP 152567, a valve (ventral internal mould), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is AFL 161 Dakengwu (upper beds), which is in a Rhuddanian marine limestone in the Anji Formation of China.
