Lichas laevis was named by Eichwald (1857).
It was recombined as Lichas (Platymetopus) laevis by Schmidt (1885); it was synonymized subjectively with Amphilichas lineatus by Schmidt (1907); it was recombined as Amphilichas laevis by Warburg (1925).
