Taxonomy
Schreinbachites vaihingensis was named by Bloos (1994). Its type specimen is SMNS 62547/1, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is S-Bahn construction, Stuttgart-Vaihingen (above bed a2III), which is in an Angulata marine horizon in the Angulatensandstein Formation of Germany.
