Alrausuchus tagax
Taxonomy
Biarmosuchus tagax was named by Ivakhnenko (1990). Its type specimen is PIN 3706/10, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Peza-1, PIN 3706, Lower Mezen' River, which is in a Kazanian/Urzhumian terrestrial horizon in the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Alrausuchus.
It was synonymized subjectively with Biarmosuchus tener by Battail and Surkov (2000); it was recombined as Alrausuchus tagax by Ivakhnenko (2008).
