Pisdurodon was named by Jain and Sahni (1983) [Sepkoski's age data: T Pale Sepkoski's reference number: 915]. It is not extant. Its type is Pisdurodon spatulatus.

It was assigned to Tetradontiformes by Sepkoski (2002).
