Plicatula surensis
Taxonomy
Plicatula surensis was named by Squires and Saul (1997). Its type specimen is IGM 5195, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CSUN Loc. 1220b, Mesa la Salina, which is in a Ypresian transition zone/lower shoreface sandstone/limestone in the Bateque Formation of Mexico.
