Noronhomys vespuccii
Taxonomy
Noronhomys vespuccii was named by Carleton and Olson (1999). Its type specimen is MCP 3460-PV, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Santo Antonio peninsula, Fernando de Noronha, which is in a Holocene eolian sandstone in Brazil. It is the type species of Noronhomys.
