Taxonomy
Lytoceras perplexum was named by Meister et al. (2011). It is not extant. Its type specimen is SNM35713. Its type locality is Male Karpaty Mts., Chtelnica localities 1-2, Beds 4 and 5, which is in a Sinemurian marine limestone in Slovakia.
