Taxonomy
Clausiuraloceras mechetlense was named by Kutygin (2018). Its type specimen is PIN 5597/1, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mechetlino-3, bed 14a, which is in a Kungurian marine limestone in the Russian Federation.
