Taxonomy
Eocyclotosaurus appetolatus was named by Rinehart et al. (2015). It is not extant. Its type specimen is NMMNH P-64166, a skull. Its type locality is NMMNH Locality 5193, which is in an Anisian pond mudstone in the Moenkopi Formation of New Mexico.
